Take your pick, silicone seat grip for extra security in the saddle, or absolutely zero silicone for total freedom of movement. Whichever suits you. 

How important is it to be comfortable when you're riding?

It doesn't matter what style of riding you do, you can't focus, or relax properly if you're fighting with your riding clothing. These have a wide (10cm) waistband, for total non-restrictive comfort. And as a bonus, it's supportive for those of us that have a little more to support. These are flattering, whether you have defined abs, or a protective layer over them. 

Pockets?

And yes, these horse riding tights have pockets. Two large phone pockets that will take even a large phone in a case. Because we know that the phone needs a case if we're around the horses.  And you're phone should be handy so you can grab the call from the boss, or take a quick pick of the interesting stuff we find when we're out riding. There's always "stuff" we need to carry when we ride, the car key, money for the instructor, a couple of carrots, and anything else you might need to stuff into a pocket.
